Project SPARSH

Project SPARSH – Shree Krishna Hospital Programme for the advancement of Rural and Social Health. is implemented by Charutar Arogya Mandal in the districts of Anand, Kheda and Panchmahal in Gujarat. The project aims to offer preventive screening and healthcare to villagers in these districts through trained health workers. GMM Pfaudler supports the activities of 100 villages in Anand district of Gujarat.

Objectives of the programme

SPARSH focuses on prevention, treatment, and care of chronic diseases such as Diabetes, Hypertension, Cancer, and Chronic Respiratory Diseases.

Activities

  • Medical camps by Mobile Health Teams for early diagnosis, consultations and follow up for hypertension and Diabetes.
  • Enrolling beneficiaries for distributing medicines periodically.
  • Periodic home visits for patients who cannot visit camps due to age or poor health.
  • Generating awareness through periodic meetings by village health workers.

Upgradation of facilities at ESIC Hospital at Hyderabad

Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospital located at Nacharam, Hyderabad is a 500- bed hospital that serves over 1,50,000 people from the surrounding areas. Its patients mainly comprise factory workers from the various industries in the area, as well as their families.

GMM Pfaudler Foundation has undertaken a 3-year long phased upgradation of the Maternity Ward at the ESIC Hospital. IN FY23 the Foundation donated Ultrasound Scanner, Auto Clinical Chemistry Analyzer and two Patient Monitors.

In FY24 the Foundation donated a Bubble CPAP, two Infant Radiant Warmers, Blood Gas Analyzer, Coagulation Analyzer and Towel & Fluid Warming System. In addition, the Foundation has also donated reagents to support the Auto Clinical Chemistry Analyzer donated in FY23. These equipment enables the healthcare professional to oversee and monitor healthcare of mothers as well as new born.
