J.V Patel Industrial Training Institute at Karamsad, Gujarat
J.V Patel Industrial Training Institute has qualified and experienced instructors offering eight trades certified by the National Council for Vocational Training and two trades certified by the Technical Education Board. The institution has been approved as a training center under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana to impart skill development training to school and college dropouts or unemployed youths. The institute regularly organizes on-campus and off-campus interviews with many prominent companies from the local areas to facilitate recruitment of students.
Over the past several years, GMM Pfaudler Foundation has partnered with J.V Patel Industrial Training Institute to improve the employment prospects of the youth who live around its factory in Karamsad. The focus has been to support the strengthening of the curriculum, providing operational funding and modernize its facilities. This year, the focus is to upgrade infrastructure and technical equipment that will help the students learn more skills and enhance employability.
Objectives of the programme
- To raise the quality and the quantity of industrial production by systematic training of the participants.
- To reduce unemployment among the educated youth by equipping them with suitable industrial equipment.
- To ensure a steady flow of skilled labour in different trades of the industry.
Walk through Exhibit of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Karamsad, Gujarat
GMM Pfaudler Foundation has partnered with Sardar Patel Trust in Karamsad, Gujarat to set up a walk-through exhibit on the life and ideologies of the ‘Unifier of India’, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the Sardar Patel Memorial, Karamsad with the objective of enhancing awareness about the freedom movement, role of Sardar Patel in the same, and philosophy and ideology of Sardar Patel.
The multimedia exhibit will foster in depth understanding of an exceptional individual and the significance of his role in the making of modern India. The exhibit leverage digital technology but will be anchored with authentic and historical material, to transport visitors in time and space and offer an immersive experience.
Upgrading sanitation facilities & providing basic requirements at Railway Station Primary School at Karamsad, Gujarat.
Sanitation and drinking water facilities at Railway Station Primary School were in a very poor condition, adversely impacting the health and overall wellbeing of the students. GMM Pfaudler Foundation has partnered with Railway Station Primary School at Karamsad, Gujarat towards initiating the upgradation of sanitation and drinking water facilities at the school. Additionally, the Foundation has supported the students by providing school bags and PT Uniform.
Project Adopt a Home at Sangli, Maharashtra
India is home to millions of children in vulnerable situations requiring immediate care and protection. Some of these children are runaways, often escaping from abuse, exploitation, and neglect. Some have been forsaken by parents who are unable to feed and take care of them. Such children are committed to state-run or privately operated shelter facilities or childcare institutions (CCI’s). However, being understaffed and under-resourced, CCI’s struggle to provide even basic amenities to the children under care.
GMM Pfaudler Foundation has partnered with Catalysts for Social Action (“CSA”) to support education and provide basic facilities and safety to the children at two such Childcare Institutions in Sangli, Maharashtra.
Objectives
- To provide basic necessities in the areas of nutrition, hygiene and sanitation, and safe living spaces for children.
- To improve developmental aspects around education, vocational training, and mentorship support.
- To build the capacity of CCI management staff for sustained outcomes.
Provision of Drinking water facility at Vatva Gujarati Saraswati Vidhyamandir at Vatva, Gujarat.
The school relied on a single source of water for all its needs, including drinking water and sanitation impacting the health and overall wellbeing of the students. GMM Pfaudler Foundation has partnered with Vatva Gujarati Saraswati Vidhyamandir school at Vatva, Gujarat towards installation of water filters and water coolers at the school.
